A Fresh Start.Posted by NitotankbotDecember 5, 2009 at 4:14 am
As we rebuild our guild and prepare for new teams and friendships, I'd like to take the time to welcome and thank our new and returning members. We owe those of you who stayed through them tough times a great big round of applause and maybe a parade for sticking around as well.
As a precursor to the New Year, I'm shutting down this website and moving us to a new one at guildlaunch that will load faster and has a more accessible raid calendar. I would like you all to register and upload your character information to that website before the end of December. It will be different and a little more complicated at first, but I think the benefits will outweigh the initial trouble. To register: Go to sinisterurge.guildlaunch.com Click on "create new account" in the upper left-hand corner and follow the steps listed. On step 3, choose "Yes, I would like to apply to the guild" and submit. The launch code is the same as the registration code for our old site, and can be found under "Guild Info" in game. Enter the launch code and submit. When you reach Step 6, click on the User Profile button found in the far upper right. Click on character tab. Make sure you check your email for the activation code. Click on the link that leads to the activation page and input the code. Click on user profile, and return to the characters tab. Choose "add a character". Choose World of Warcraft from the drop-down menu and input the appropriate information and submit. Click on "add character to guild site". Click the "add" button. Now, download the guildlaunch profiler mod from http://glmods.guildlaunch.com/gwiki/index.php?page_name=Guild_Launch_Profiler&gid=68936. Follow the directions listed to upload your character information. That should be it. Please take some time afterward to peruse the forums and get used to the layout of the website. If you have any questions, please direct them to myself or Nick and hopefully one of us will have an answer! That's all for now folks! Look out for raids, help each other out, and keep having fun! ~N~ Big Wheels Keep On Turnin...Posted by NitotankbotNovember 16, 2009 at 6:55 pm
Welcome to year two of Sinister Urge life. I've been here and there, debating on what to do with this guild of ours, and finally I have a solid decision. We're gonna try to push on through to year three! Woo exciting.
For those of you who are just checking in but have found other homes in cooler guilds, best wishes and we miss you! For those of you who want to come back, you are definitely welcome to do so. Send me an in-game email if I'm not on and we'll chat. People who stayed, thanks for hanging in there! All officers and senior members have been reverted to the regular member status. I'm still working on a restructure of some sort (maybe). Here's a few new things: 1. We will be moving to a new website soon. This will mean learning a new system and downloading an add-on to facilitate uploading your information onto the webpage. It's a pain, but it's for the best. 2. When our roster is built back up, raids will no longer occur at the late hour it used to. 3. I will be looking for officers in the near future that will have enough time to devote to running the guild when I'm not around. Rule changes and role changes will probably occur in the near future. I may utilize an application process for officer positions this time around. You all have been great sports. I love you all and appreciate your continued support. We'll be back up and running soon. Hang in there. ~N~ The Future of Sinister UrgePosted by AnkuisisSeptember 27, 2009 at 12:47 pmHey Ya'll, Ankuisis here to discuss the future of our guild. Nito has to take a long leave of absence (possibly indefinate) from WOW and she has left me in charge of taking care of you guildies. We have lost a lot of good players due to raiding issues and lack of enthusiasum for spending time with other guild members. It is up to us that are troopers to reform our guild and make it awesome. So, below is a list of things we need to do to make sure that The Sinister Urge stays on the map as a totally rad guild that people want to be a part of. 2. The Guild Bank Updates Updates!Posted by NitotankbotAugust 24, 2009 at 12:17 am
Hey guild! First off, welcome to all our new members. Ank has been doing a fantastic job with recruiting. Thanks Ank!
Congratulations to our raid team for our first downing of Flame, XT, Razor, and Kologarn on 08/15/09! You guys have all been workin hard. Keep it up. Our GB has been prospering thanks to all of your donations of money, mats, and greens. Thank you all for that. Now for the raid changes: Raid days are to be scheduled as follows: Naxx- Tues Weds 11p server Ulduar- Fri Sat 11p server. Ulduar raids are to be four hours in duration, so be prepared for that. Naxx raids generally run three to four hours depending on the situation. Please be sure to post your raid availability on the raid forums to ensure you are placed on the roster, as we are building rosters solely off a database that is compiled from the raid forums. Some changes have been made to raid rules and loot rules, so please be sure to read up on that. Also, the new Ulduar boss of the week will be posted in the raid forums soon. It's your responsibility as a raider to read up and know these fights! Remember that if we go in knowing what to expect, it will cut out a significant amount of time for explanations and help us make the most of our raid times. Be prepared! In light of the fact that we have recruited a good number of new members, recruitment has been suspended for the next two weeks to give everyone time to acclimate. Last thing: As part of our upcoming Guild Anniversay Celebration, we are taking wishlists from all members (your mains, please). Post your top 10 items on the wishlist forums, open from tomorrow through next sunday, and we will make at least one wish come true. Please be timely with your post! Stay tuned for upcoming guild events for anniversary week in October! Cheers! ~N~ Welcome...Posted by NitotankbotAugust 6, 2009 at 5:12 pm

Hey folks!
The forums have been updated! You can now find guild/gc/vent rules, promotion standards, and officer/gm expectations. I'd love to see more participation in the forums here, as I'll be transition to using the forums to disperse information to you all. Remember that we do need your donations of greens and mats for guild bank. Greens will be disenchanted and auctioned off. The money is there to help you all succeed in WoW, so we need your help sustaining our cash flow. Our one year anniversary is coming up in October! We officers are in the process of planning a week of fun and festivities that we hope you all will participate in. If you have any ideas or suggestions on how we should celebrate, please let your nearest officer know! Raiders, if you haven't already posted your raid availability, please do so ASAP. We will be moving toward using the forums to build rosters, so don't get left out. Keep up the good work, folks. I'm glad you all are here with us, at The Sinister Urge. Congratulations!!Posted by NitotankbotJuly 13, 2009 at 1:14 pm
Well folks, we did it! We have cleared Naxx!! Yay!
We will continue farming Naxx 10 while easing into Ulduar. We are looking for another healer or two, so be on the look out. Let Sylandria or myself know if there's someone who'd like to fill healer spots for us. Great job, raid team! Back in the Swing of ThingsPosted by NitotankbotJuly 7, 2009 at 6:01 am
Hey folks! Here's a few updates...
Our guild raids have been progressing nicely! Congrats to all who were there for our first Saph kill! Great job! We'll be progressing into Ulduar very soon. Raid and loot rules have been posted in the raid forums for raiders' convenience. We have opened up recruiting once again. Let any officer know if you've got a friend that wants to join up and check us out. Officer meetings will be resuming soon. I'd like to see us grow into a more cohesive guild. Let's help each other and be a welcoming community for new and used (lolz) members. If you have any suggestions or concerns, feel free to contact an officer or myself, or visit our questions and concerns forum. You all are great. Keep up the good work! ~N~ | ||
